The web pages I looked up have plenty of different icons and topics to stay current with that the students are learning about and what they are doing in their classes week to week. There are icons for "welcome," "what we are learning," "power point presentation," "homework,""class schedule," "specials calender," "wish lists," "contacts," "announcements," and "links." These websites were so delightful and pleasant to visit. I was genuinely excited to see what these teachers had to say and offer. they seemed to really want to stay connected to students and parents.
Other web sites only had the "teachers name," "email address," and "phone number." This is a disgrace! Not only was that the only information that was provided a name, number, and email, some teachers didn't even update their page so it was blank with only their names. There was no additional information on the site and I have no connection or idea about these specific teachers. Surprisingly, my high school was one of those sites that shared little to no information about their teachers. I like the idea of the staff web pages. I wish I knew about them while in these schools but sadly I did not. I think they would have been helpful in order to get in contact with my teachers with any additional questions. I could have emailed them but in the classroom setting they never offered outside help (i.e. email, phone number..)
