The power point I created was based mostly on the Innovation and Learning Skills highlighted in the 21st Century Skill(s). I plan on integrating this technology by teaching Creativity and Innovation, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, and Communication and Collaboration. I find all of these skills important to my future students not only in my classroom but also in real life experiences. I hope my classroom environment could get them ready for the world in which they will be a part of and the future they eventually live in. This technology in the classroom could really better the lives of my students and their ideas. Considering I plan on becoming an art educator, I feel creativity to be one of the most essential pieces to the art world puzzle. This could help students express themselves and understand how to express themselves in different ways other than just verbally. Art is a fun and interesting way to connect with all types of different people. Also, critical thinking and problem solving skills are two of the most important skills you will need to use in your lifetime. With out these skills, people would not know how to adapt or change what they are doing in order to better themselves. One must learn how to solve problems in order to get through them. Lastly, communication is incredibly important to the world we live in. Though many communicate verbally, there are other ways; visually, physically, emotionally, etc. I think that being able to express yourself to others could only better yourself in this big picture we call "the world." I plan on integrating these skills in my classroom not only because I want my students to learn these lesson for my classroom, but I want them to apply these lessons to the lives they will be living in today's future.
